Trisna Mesi

Architectural Designer

Bachelor Degree in Architecture – Udayana University, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia

Trisna started her career in Somia Design Studio in 2013. She is involved in private house projects from design to construction stage. For Trisna, the user’s comfort is up most important. This principle leads to user-oriented design; a design that is based on user’s habits and needs. The principle is visible in projects such as Sujiva Living, Graha House, and Mumbul Residence, in which Trisna was involved in.

Timeless and tropical design become the characteristic that Trisna brings into her design. Timeless design creates buildings that are long-lasting and always adaptive to its surrounding context. As architect Frank Gehry once said, “Architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness.” (arsitag.com). Tropical design, on the other hand, is a design principle applied to respond the local climate conditions of Indonesia.
